THOUSAND OAKS, CA, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Datacoves today announced the launch of Atlas, an agreement layer that helps enterprise teams and their AI agents settle what data means before anyone answers a question with it.
Most analytics and AI tools race to an answer and skip the harder problem underneath: getting people, and now AI agents, to agree on the definition behind the number. When every team defines revenue or active customer differently, AI does not resolve the conflict. It scales it, answering with total confidence from whatever logic it happened to find.
Atlas scopes the question before it answers, surfaces the assumptions that change the result, and routes open questions to whoever owns the answer. The output is a plain-English Definition of Record, versioned and attributed, that becomes an asset the company owns instead of a one-off answer that has to be re-derived every time someone asks again.
Atlas is built to work with the stack and the agents teams already have. It connects to a company’s existing warehouse, dbt transformation code, Git repository, and orchestration through the open Model Context Protocol (MCP), so definitions stay portable instead of locked into one vendor. Because Atlas exposes its Definition of Record over MCP, the AI tools teams already use can build against the definitions the business has agreed on, rather than re-guessing them one prompt at a time.
For organizations that cannot send sensitive data to an outside cloud, Atlas can run entirely inside their own network, the same model the Datacoves platform uses. Teams without that constraint can run the same product as a managed service.
