Milwaukee, WI – Grieve Law, a Wisconsin law firm, has awarded Sophia Xynos, a graduate of Franklin High School in Milwaukee, a $500 scholarship. She’ll be applying that scholarship towards her attendance at Marquette University. Awarding this scholarship is part of Grieve Law’s ongoing and long-standing commitment to the communities they serve across the region.

Our scholarship gives students the opportunity to reflect on their decision-making process during an ethical dilemma to help further them towards their own personal framework of what is right and ethical. We are honored to invest in the next generation of leaders who will uphold integrity,” said Tom Grieve, Grieve Law’s CEO and Founder. 

 

In her essay, Xynos discusses how leadership often means making tough decisions and how it is important to make those decisions based on what is right, even when it is uncomfortable. She eloquently states that “ethical decision-making often involves choosing between two values that both matter.” When there is no direct right answer, it comes down to an individual’s definition of what is right. 

 

Grieve Law offers an annual scholarship to graduating high school seniors or college students of any year. To apply, students must submit their transcripts, submit a 500 word essay, and meet the scholarship requirements concerning enrollment and GPA.
